We had such an exciting last day on Thursday. In the morning we were met with some very special footprints all over the classroom!

And then the excitement continued when we found some very special treats had been left for each of us.

A huge thank you to everyone for a smooth start to the year.  A special mention to those parents who have been volunteering on a weekly basis - I appreciate it so much!

Have a great Easter break!

Just a reminder to parents that only water is permitted in students drink bottles during class time.  If you wish to send cordial for your child, please make sure they still have a separate water bottle for their desk.

Free Dress Day

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Free Dress Day will be on the first Friday back in Term 2 - 29th April.

Easter Parade

We have been working very hard on our Easter bunny masks. Come and see the result of our efforts this afternoon at the Easter Parade in the hall.

Although we all started with the same colours (red, black and white), and were guided in the process of painting the masks, all of the masks look different and show off our individuality.

Gold Assembly Time Change

Monday, April 11, 2011

Please note that the Gold Assembly is at 1:45pm in the hall.

Easter Egg Raffle

Monday, April 4, 2011

Don't forget about the Easter Egg Raffle.  Tickets are being sold for $2 each.

The tuckshop is still taking donations.

ANZAC Day

On April 25 our school has a proud tradition of participating in the ANZAC Day service held by the Bribie Island RSL.

Students are to meet at the Apex Park in full formal uniform with their maroon hat and a water bottle at 8.15am. We will then form an important part of the march to the Commemoration Service at Korea Place in the RSL grounds.  Each year the RSL then kindly provides refreshments for all students who march.

If you are going to be on the island for this special day, we would love to see you there representing our great school.

See you there!

Tuckshop

The tuckshop will be closed for all of the last week. Please make sure you make alternate arrangements.

Don't forget to return your sausage sizzle notes by this Friday!

Gold Assembly

Year 1 Gold Assembly will be held next Monday (11th April) at 11:45am in the hall.

Most students have had exemplar behaviour this term and have earned their gold award, and a piece of that gold cake!

Please come along to support your child's wonderful efforts!

P.E. Lessons

There will be no P.E. this week due to Year 6 camp.

Bridge testing

We had so much fun this afternoon testing how many unifix cubes our bridges could hold. Willow and Michael's were by far the best!  It was interesting to note that they both had a similar design.  It will be interesting to see how the rest go tomorrow.
